Dealing with stress
It must have been hard to live in the 1930's because you could have a really poor family and not like it because you could get dirty water, unhealthy food and miss out on heaps like school for no uniforms or lunch.
These are my tips of avoiding stress
1. slowly breathe.
2. do something you like.
3. make sure you don't do something you don't like.
4. exercise.
5. go for a ride on your bike, scooter or skateboard.

Offering a helping hand.
what I would do to help the poor would be giving vegetable seeds and fresh fish and meat packs. I would help build a container house community and put the big shared garden in the middle with a playground

Paying it forward.

Hi Leo,
ReplyDeleteI'm very impressed with your work on these activities! I love that you've incorporated graphics/pictures in your responses to the questions. Good for you!
I think your container house community idea is excellent! There really are ways of creating housing that is affordable if we broaden our thinking, aren't there? I love the thought of giving people the materials for creating their own sustainable gardens is excellent too!!
And your list of treats, with the associated poster, is lovely.
You're clearly making a really good effort with these activities. I'm looking forward to reading more of your blogs.
I'm reading your postings from Canada where we're in the midst of an extremely cold winter - today it was -39 degrees Celsius. Unbelievable, even for Canadians.
Enjoy your holidays!
Leslie
Thanks Leslie
ReplyDeleteI Thought about shipping containers because you can find heaps of them around In New zealand because we use them for more than just shipping things to other countries. We even have a container mall in Christchirch! Many people buy containers and turn them into houses.
I thought of the garden because it's a time and money saving thing since you don't have to go to the supermarket nearly every day or two.
-39 is a very cold temprature and would you be able to cook some meat, put it outside and would it freeze in a few minutes? If it would you can tell that climate change isn't really affecting Canada then.
Thanks for reading my blog.
bye
from Leo
Hey Leo,
ReplyDeleteWell done for posting an another extraordinary activity post! I really enjoyed reading new ideas and your personal thoughts and opinions. I also like how you have put a lot of thought and effort into doing these activities, I can definitely tell that you enjoy doing them!
Your list of ways to de-stress is similar to mine! I also think that we should do something that we like rather than something that we don't like when we are stressed. I want to go skiing in the cold weather because it would cool me down and get me distracted! Also, I like to eat a lot of sweets of all kinds -chocolates, ice cream, cakes... How about you? Do you like eating anything when you are stressed?
I love your illustration of the little community that you made with container houses. What a wonderful idea! I have been down to Christchurch from Auckland and it was really amazing to visit the container mall and little shops and cafes in containers. I think it's very stylish and efficient. You wouldn't need to worry about earthquakes.
You have chosen a variety of things to take with you. They would definitely enjoy the treats and games! I haven't had the chance to play the Monopoly New Zealand Edition, have you played it?
I would love to hear back from you!
Cheers,
Jade C.
Kia Ora Leo,
ReplyDeleteI really like your de-stressing ideas. I think sometimes people get stressed about all the different things going on in their lives and they forgot to look after themselves. I know when I’m stressed, I will just take some time for myself, I might read a book, do some or baking or if the weather is nice I will go for a walk. I hope you don’t need to deal with too much stress!
I love your container house community idea and your picture! I have never actually seen a container house but my friend is currently building a tiny house, which goes on a massive trailer. I think the dimensions for her house is very similar to a container. At least with containers you can add more of them to make your house bigger! Would you ever live in a container house or tiny house?
That would be one lucky family ! Cadbury New Zealand actually started making Dairy Milk Chocolate in 1930, but I wonder how different the recipe is now compared to back then? I’m sure they will have enough treats to last them through their monopoly game. We used to always play monopoly if it was raining all day. The whole family would sit around the table and we would spend the entire day playing. Have you ever played monopoly with your family?
I look forward to reading more of your blogs soon!
